My father thought he had nothing to say. However, with just a few questions about his childhood and with my pen in hand to write down his answers, the “Life on the Farm” excerpt below was generated. Even if they aren't even a bit curious today, I believe that someday they will want to know what it was like when you were a little boy or little girl. They will appreciate your memories of your parents and grandparents. Take this opportunity to tell them.
Trick or Treat...the day after
The kids had a great time Trick or Treating last night. They shared some Butterfingers with me--my favorite. It brought to mind one of the funniest things that ever happened back in Erie, Pennsylvania, my hometown. My sister, brothers, and I were still all living at home at the time.

Dad and I met Andrea Hein in Joliet, IL on Thursday morning (Aug. 5). Andrea was intrigued by the LifeBio idea and decided to write a column about it. It will appear in the Joliet Herald News on Monday. Andrea said that life had taught her...that everyone is, first and foremost, human. Each person should be treated with dignity and respect. No one is perfect. Joliet is a special town because it's the only place in the U.S. where Route 30 and Route 66 meet. Maybe someday LifeBio will make it all the way down Route 66...
