What's the most interesting job you've ever had??

"In 1952 when I was 14 years old, I got a job working six days a week in a local family-owned butcher shop/grocery. I worked there for three years of high school and one year of junior college. The butcher shop was a couple of blocks from downtown, and not in the best neighborhood. However, the same family had run it since 1890, and it had a good reputation for meat. I stocked the shelves and waited on customers. I did just about everything but cut meat. One of my duties was delivering groceries to all of the brothels in downtown Springfield. There were four brothels within two blocks of the store. Some years later, my mom was shocked to learn about this aspect of the job!"
